Our Story
In this land of Bolgheri, rich in history and excellence, the wine producer Giovanni Persico cultivates his vines in the same way that this generous land created and raised him.

My family arrived in Tuscany from Campania (Southern Italy) in the fifties just after the war. Their economic state was one of subsistence like many Italians at that time. They decided to buy land from the nobles with long-term debt. With hard work and sacrifices, they cultivated vegetables until finally, they had a house and some land they could call their own.
With Italy rapidly growing in the nineties I finished my studies and with my doctorate under my belt, I continued to specialize and cultivate my passion for plants working as a General Manager for an international firm responsible for five regions of Italy. Thanks to this invaluable experience I came back to Bolgheri and specialized in the cultivation of vegetables in a Bolgheri which was still largely dominated by horticulture. Thanks to my Irish wife who gave me a broader and more international vision we built a life with two children, brick by brick to arrive where we are now after forty years together.
My son now lives in Manhattan, New York since 2005 and has built an import business of Italian products starting off with our olive oil directly from Bolgheri. He has recently opened his second restaurant in Manhattan, NY (“Sogno Toscano Market & Wine Bar”) and one in Santa Monica, California where our wines are on sale. With my same passion for art and philosophy from the land of Bolgheri where I was born and raised, I produce wine with the vines I have carefully cultivated with the purpose and pleasure of offering sensations and emotions which will embrace the appreciation of this unique corner of Tuscany called Bolgheri.
